For those who has read my articles on “How to manage a Business without a Masters in Business Administration” I would like you to detour to a blog I have the privilege to review here. What I have offered in those articles are just the very basics in starting a small business and I did not go into any details on how you, as a businessman should react to different situations, mainly because I am not a very good motivator though I do practise most of what has been written by Andreas Bard in his motivational articles.
Andreas Bard’s motivational articles for entrepreneurs shows that being a good businessman does not simply mean that you throw in your money, get your goods and sell your goods at a profit. It encompasses the human aspect of running a business successfully. In the article on self discipline, he wrote,
By stretching beyond our comfort level we are able to really get things done that needs to get done and by that we are also boosting our confidence in what we do.
How true. He goes on to give 5 main points on how to achieve that.
Like in whatever we do or plan to do, there are always some spoilsports around who thinks that they know better. The wet blankets that they throw over have caused many a would be businessman to abandon whatever plans they might have. Lots of people cannot handle criticisms and people who can differentiate what is constructive criticism and what is destructive criticism will be the ones who enjoy a higher percentage of success in whatever he does. Andreas Bard’s article on handling criticism gives his insights when he opened the second paragraph with these words,
You have to keep an positive attitude and do something good with the criticism you get. All the criticism you get will not be justified, and when it is not you got to be able to speak up for yourself against the person criticizing you.
Of course to be a really successful entrepreneur, we must lead a healthy life style. However temptations are just too many, especially if you are involved in business. Once too often we are forced to entertain clients who has different passions and we have don’t have much of a choice but to oblige, but there a ways to overcome the situation as Andreas motivates us on starting a healthier lifestyle by saying,
Mental health is a very important component in starting a healthier lifestyle.
So if you are a young entrepreneur, just starting out or even if you already is a successful businessman, Andreas Bard has some really good tips in his blogs for your reading pleasure.
