Nuffnang and Advertlets on the Roll.

By Ah Pek | Mar 24, 2007

The Malaysian Blogoshpere is getting rather exciting. Two new Organisations, or shall I call them E-Organisations, if ever there is such a thing, have come up to provide Bloggers a chance to make some money from their blogs. For those who wants to make blogging their career, I think the time is now. With all the fever surrounding paid Post and all, there is a good chance for those people with a few active blogs to make a really decent income.

The two Malaysian concerns who are fighting over the piece of the Malaysian Blog Pie are Nuffnang and Advertlets. Both offers almost the same thing, thought their approach is different. They are also rushing to beat each other over the official launch date, with Nuffnang promising bloggers registered with them that Ads will start appearing by the 25th. of March. They have stuck to their promise. AhPek.com, my anchor blog and a blog which I like to help out the Malaysian Blogosphere in my own small way by giving no obligation free links to bloggers who needs them, has, through Nuffnang’s effort, been chosen by an Advertiser to place their Ads there. I am already seeing money rolling in, and I think all those who haven’t sign up, should do so now.

Advertlets

Advertlets on the other hand is not resting their laurels either. They have launched their own sponsored post / blogvertorial program, where bloggers can get paid to review products and services from Advertisers. Spear heading the campaign is Advertlets themselves, offering their registered bloggers RM50.00 for a review on Advertlets.com. They have set aside a whopping RM15,000, which will benefit 300 of their registered bloggers. They have also come up with some innovative ideas, all which are available if you visit and sign up with Advertlets.

It doesn’t matter who you are registered with, as both brings you the revenue. The most important thing is you must have blogs running actively to tap into these revenues. I registered for both.

Thanks for the mention! There seems to be a bit of a problem with the figures you quoted: It’s supposed to be RM50.00, and RM15,000.00 btw… :) Seems to be coming up with some very funny dots above. Looks like RM15.00 in total at a glance, haha! And its “Advertlets” with an “S” at the end. But thanks, we are proud to see our efforts being noticed.

We’ll be rolling out quite a few more features for our exclusive members (might be a good reason to choose one, perhaps?) - and will be announcing them over the next few weeks.

Most recently, our latest network feature (available to advertisers, and bloggers benefit too!) is geolocation and ISP profiling - now we can tell which visitors are Malaysian (using Malaysian ISPs - and we can narrow them down to whether they are using TM Net, Maxis, Jaring, DiGi, etc).

    Cheers!
