In life, there are always something that is beyond our means. We are not super beings so it is only natural that there are things not within our reach. Once we realize that living will be a little less stressful. People who strives for perfection will never be happy. While it is often advised that we give our best, and while some bosses even insist on only the best, the best does not mean perfect. It is the effort that you put in that counts. If your best effort cannot attain perfection, then it’s just too bad. At least you know in your heart that you have tried your best.
Suffice to say, there are really perfectionist out there. These are the people that will never find joy in life. They won’t even find a suitable life partner. They will not be able to keep a job for long. They will have no friends, because nothing in their eyes looks perfect to them. So they keep seeking. The keep trying to reach for the unreachable and they waste their entire lives seeking for the perfection that never existed in the first place.
The irony of it all is, while they were seeking for perfection, they never seek it within themselves. Most perfectionist are critical people. They live with criticisms everyday. Being a critical person is not what a perfect person with a perfect character will do. However they did not realize that while seeking for perfection, they lost most of the perfect qualities that they were seeking for from outside.
