Trades that a School Dropout can consider learning

I find it hard to believe that able bodied people can starve here. As long as you are willing to slog it out, 3 hot meals on the table is not a problem at all. Does not matter if you are not highly educated. Never give the excuse that you can’t find a job because you don’t have the paper qualification. In my books, a guy with no paper qualification has an easier time getting a job. Then of course, the quality of the job might not be what you expect, but then again, be reminded that you don’t have the qualification.

Jobs That fits a School Dropout.

1. Electrician.

2. Plumber

3. Welder

4. Mechanic

5. Fitter

6. Painter

7. Masons

8. Many others.

If you have the means, you can buy the knowledge. If not, you can always work for the knowledge. For those who fails their SRP they can always go to some technical school and spend 2 years there learning the basics of the trade. For the more fortunate ones, yes, I consider them more fortunate, they can join any contracting company as an apprentice. Why do I call them more fortunate? First they get paid while they learn the trade while those in school have to pay for what they are learning. Second, they get hands on experience on everything they learn, while those in school only gets what is available in the classrooms which is very much different from the real thing. Thirdly, after 2 years, an apprentice would have learned enough to be considered a semi-skilled worker, while those who have just came out from Technical schools are still looking for a job and they will remain jobless unless they are willing to start from scratch with a Contracting Firm or get a lower paying job in a factory.

Problem getting a job starts when the guy with a certificate considers himself ‘more educated’. This mentality leads him to be stucked midway. Not willing to sweat it out with those lower educated than him but in the same time not being able to compete with those who has a higher qualification than him. Thus, he joins the ranks of the unemployed and it takes a long time for the fact to sink in that they must not be too particular about their so called qualification, bite the dust, disregard the certificate that they hold and be humble enough to ask for a job that those who has no education can do.

Once this fact sinks in, they can and will do better than those who has no proper training. After all they have learned all the theories in school. What they loose out is on the job experience. Once thay gain that, they will have the advantage.  How far they will go depends on their own mentality. If they think they already learned everything and knows everything, they will be stagnant. However, if they keep asking and keep learning,  the sky is the limit.
